Srní

Mountain resort and an impotant recreation centre in Šumava mountains. Originaly woodcooter´s settlement from the early 18th century. Interesting is the church of the Holy Trinity, shingle covered on the windward side, dating from 1804-05. Vernacular architecture. On the edge of the village you can visit the Klostermann´s house. The writer Karel Klostermann, the autor of many novels from the Šumava environments, used to visit this spot in the 19th century.
